All-ages concert celebrating the 30th anniversary of Hey Arnold!, with its music led by composer Jim Lang and special guest Craig Bartlett.
Jim Lang and The PS 118 AllStars bring The Music of Hey Arnold! Live! to The Pageant on Tuesday, November 10, a concert marking the 30th anniversary of Hey Arnold!. The show ran on Nickelodeon from 1995 to 2000, producing more than 100 half-hour episodes and a movie in 2002.
Jim Lang wrote the show's theme, original songs, and score, and he leads the night. His work blended jazz, hip hop, blues, R&B, and funk, and that same mix is what the evening is built around. The set pairs the show's themes and fan-favorite songs with multimedia visuals and behind-the-scenes stories, so it's as much about the history of the music as it is about hearing it live. The show is all ages.
Craig Bartlett, the creator of Hey Arnold!, will be there as a special guest. He also created the PBS Kids series Dinosaur Train and Ready Jet Go! and worked on Rugrats.
