Special Event: Steve Hofstetter

Steve Hofstetter is coming to Helium & Elements Restaurant in St. Louis on Wednesday, April 21, 2027. He's a stand-up comedian, author, and columnist who's spent a good part of his career working across a few different mediums at once. If you've never heard the name, you've probably run into his work in a few different places: he's written humor columns for the New York Times, SportsIllustrated.com, and NHL.com, and he's put out six albums.

His TV credits go back a while. He made his national debut on ESPN's Quite Frankly and has since appeared on CBS' Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, Showtime's White Boyz in the Hood, VH1's Countdown, Sundance's On the Road in America, and ABC's Barbara Walters Special. He's also the host and executive producer of Laughs on Fox networks and has been one of the top booked acts on the college circuit. He was the original writer for collegehumor.com, too.

There's a sports thread running through a lot of his work. He hosted Four Quotas on Sirius Satellite Radio and syndicated his Sports Minute (Or So) to more than 170 stations and over 30 newspapers. He started writing at 15, co-founded Sports Jerk of the Week at 18, and at 20 took a year off school to run web content for the New York Yankees. He's a Columbia undergraduate and was a columnist for the Columbia Daily Spectator.

The show is at Helium & Elements Restaurant on Wednesday, April 21, 2027, starting at 7:30 PM.
