Shaun Cassidy brings his holiday show, Unwrapped: Songs & Stories For The Holidays, to The Pageant on Sunday, November 15. It's a holiday-themed performance that mixes songs and stories from his career, so you'll hear music and the stories behind it rather than just a straight set.
If you only know Cassidy from the pop charts, there's a lot more to the guy than that. He's a writer, producer, and actor as well as a Grammy-nominated singer. After his early years as a performer, he moved into television, creating and producing several critically acclaimed series: American Gothic, which he did with Sam Raimi; Roar, starring Heath Ledger; Cold Case; Cover Me; The Agency; Invasion; and Emerald City. He also spent five years as an executive producer and writer for the NBC/Netflix hit New Amsterdam, and he's currently writing the book for a Broadway musical.
That early pop career, though, is where most people start. He's the son of Tony Award winner Jack Cassidy and Academy Award winner Shirley Jones, and the half-brother of the late singer and actor David Cassidy. He grew up in Los Angeles and New York City and signed with Warner Brothers Records while still in high school, which led to three multi-platinum albums and a string of top-ten hits like "Da Doo Ron Ron," "That's Rock N' Roll," "Hey Deanie," and "Do You Believe in Magic?" He also starred in the ABC series The Hardy Boys Mysteries.
