Live show by Sammy Rae & The Friends, with special guest Melt, at The Pageant in St. Louis.
Sammy Rae & The Friends play The Pageant on Monday, October 26, with special guest Melt opening the bill. It's an all-ages show, so you can bring the kids along if you're planning a family night.
If you haven't come across them yet, the band describes themselves less as a band and more as a family of dreamers and artists, fronted by singer and songwriter Sammy Rae. Their sound pulls from a few different places at once—classic rock, folk, funk, soul, and jazz—and they've built up a following since Rae moved from Connecticut to New York City in her early twenties. She's put out two EPs so far, The Good Life in 2018 and Let's Throw a Party in 2021, and has played sold-out shows across North America and through the UK and Europe.
One thing to keep in mind before you head out: The Pageant's media policy for this one is strict—no cameras, no audio, and no video. You'll have to leave the phone in your pocket and just listen.
