Mannheim Steamroller Christmas

Mannheim Steamroller brings Mannheim Steamroller Christmas to The Fabulous Fox Theatre on Friday, December 4. It's the holiday program Chip Davis put together, and it's built around holiday classics played by 15 musicians on stage. The music is the main thing, but they run it with multimedia effects throughout the show.

If you've heard the name but aren't sure what that means in a live setting, the 15 musicians are the core of it. That's a full ensemble on stage, not a small group or a backing track, and they're the ones working through the holiday classics that Davis arranged. The multimedia effects run alongside the music, so it's a visual show as much as a concert. It's the same program they've been touring, the one Davis put together around those holiday standards.

It's a Friday night in early December, so it's one of those dates that fits right into the start of the season. The show is at The Fabulous Fox Theatre here in St. Louis, and tickets run from $92 to $1,620, depending on where you sit. If you're planning to go, keep in mind it's a Friday night, and the date is December 4.
