Free all-local music festival with short sets from around 100 St. Louis acts across venues in the Grand Center Arts District, including The Key STL.
Free 4 All returns to the Grand Center Arts District on Friday, November 6, Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, 2026. It's a three-day local music festival with shows at The Key STL and other venues across the district, and the organizers are aiming for about 100 St. Louis acts over the weekend. It's free to attend.
If you haven't come across it before, Free 4 All is billed as St. Louis' largest all-local music festival—a grassroots, free event that puts the region's musical forces on display across genres, from rock and hip-hop to folk and noise. Michael Landau and Joseph Hess started it to give local musicians a big meet-up and a platform to be discovered. It works differently from a typical festival: they book shorter sets that encourage you to move between venues rather than staying in one spot, and they don't book a single headlining act, treating every performer as vital. The lineup is built on community input, too—any artist can apply to play and any member of the public can nominate a local musician.
The inaugural edition took over Grand Center in September 2025 with around 100 local acts across nine outdoor stages. This year the festival continues under the Kranzberg Arts Foundation umbrella, which provides the venues and networking opportunities for the artists. The full schedule for this edition hasn't been confirmed yet, so keep an eye out for the lineup as it fills in.
