Foghat plays The Pageant in St. Louis with Bryan Bassett on slide guitar, marking their Twang & Bang Tour 2026.
Foghat play The Pageant on Friday, November 20, as part of their Twang & Bang Tour 2026. The show marks 55 years since the band formed, and they're coming through St. Louis with a set that reaches back to the beginning.
They started in 1971 when Roger Earl and Lonesome Dave Peverett left Savoy Brown, and the name became a household one in 1975 with Fool for the City, which gave them "Slow Ride." That track has a long life behind it: Foghat Live went multi-platinum two years later, and the group has since collected eight Gold records, one Platinum, and one Double Platinum. In 2025, Apple Music gave them a plaque for twenty-five million streams of "Slow Ride."
The lineup on stage is slide guitar ace Bryan Bassett, singer and guitarist Scott Holt, bassist Rodney O'Quinn, and founding drummer Roger Earl. They're still recording, too: their 2023 album Sonic Mojo hit number one on the Billboard Blues Chart, and they've announced both a new live album and a new studio album in the works for 2026.
