Duplicity: an evening of duos

Duplicity: an evening of duos comes to Dissonant Works on Tuesday, October 27, with three different pairs taking the stage. The whole night is built around the duo format, so you'll see six musicians working in pairs rather than one band playing a full set.

Erin Raines and Chris Smentkowski open the bill, followed by Jeremy Melsha and Derrick Leu, with NNN Cook and Rick Wiggpaw Wilson closing it out. Each pair brings their own combination to the table, and because they're playing one after another, you get to hear how three different duos approach the same basic idea over the course of the evening.

It's a straightforward bill: three sets, six people, all in pairs. If you've been following any of these names around the city, this is a good chance to see them paired up with someone else for a night.

Dissonant Works is at 2218 S Jefferson Ave in St. Louis, and the show starts at 8 PM. Admission is $10 pay-what-you-can, so you can put in what you're able.
