Symphonic concert conducted by Arnie Roth with the Distant Worlds Philharmonic and a chorus, celebrating the music of Final Fantasy XIV and XVI.
Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY comes to The Fabulous Fox Theatre on Saturday, December 5, 2026. It's the official symphonic concert experience for the series, presented by AWR Music Productions, and it's built around the music of Nobuo Uematsu, Masashi Hamauzu, Naoshi Mizuta, Hitoshi Sakimoto, Yoko Shimomura, Masayoshi Soken and others.
This particular stop puts the spotlight on FINAL FANTASY XIV and XVI, both composed by Masayoshi Soken. Those two make up a good chunk of the program, but they share the stage with works by Uematsu, Hamauzu and Shimomura. There's also a nod to the 25th anniversary of FINAL FANTASY X, with 'Hymn of the Fayth/The Sending' and 'Zanarkand' on the bill.
On the podium is conductor Arnie Roth, leading the Distant Worlds Philharmonic and a chorus, with vocalist Amanda Achen. The music is paired with HD video projections created by SQUARE ENIX specifically for the tour. The show has been touring since 2007 and draws from a discography of seven Distant Worlds albums, plus the chamber-music production A New World, all recorded over the years with Roth and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra.
