Live show by Desperate Electric, Eldraco + FreeNation and Dr. Slappenstein at Moshmellow on Jefferson Avenue.
Desperate Electric headline Moshmellow on Tuesday, October 20, with Eldraco + FreeNation and Dr. Slappenstein on the bill. It's a three-act night, and the headliners are coming from a long way off: the duo hails from Butte, Montana, and consists of Kayti Korte on vocals and bass and Ben Morris on guitar, keys, vocals, and production. They describe their sound as futuristic R&B blended with retro dance grooves, and they build their live shows around vocal harmonies, showmanship and musical prowess.
Eldraco + FreeNation is a high-energy Pop-Funk/Glam Soul band led by Eldraco, a four-octave vocalist. The group pulls in rock and dance elements, and they've spent the last few years gaining some serious traction. They were twice recognized by the John Lennon Songwriting Competition—in 2020 for "Mallori (I See U)" and in 2024 for "Butterflies," both from their 2025 album Glitter—and they shared the stage with Patti LaBelle in 2025. They've also been a Tiny Desk Contest favorite since 2021, reaching finalist status in 2024, and have played to crowds of over 17,000 at Music at the Intersection in 2025 and 13,000 at the Whitaker Music Festival in 2023.

Dr. Slappenstein rounds out the lineup, so you've got three acts in one evening. Between Desperate Electric's R&B-meets-dance grooves and Eldraco + FreeNation's pop-funk, the night leans toward the danceable end of things. The show starts at 7 PM at Moshmellow, 3359 S Jefferson Ave, St. Louis, MO 63118.
