Death Becomes Her

Death Becomes Her plays The Fabulous Fox Theatre on Thursday, October 22, at 7:30 PM. It's a Tony Award-winning musical comedy, and this particular production brings in a heavy-hitting cast: Megan Hilty, Jennifer Simard, and Christopher Sieber, with Grammy winner Michelle Williams joining them. Direction and choreography are by Tony winner Christopher Gattelli.

The story follows Madeline Ashton, the screen's most beautiful actress, and Helen Sharp, her long-suffering writer. Their friendship sours into a rivalry when Madeline steals Helen's fiancé, and the two spend years locked in a feud. That changes when Viola Van Horn, a mysterious woman, offers them a magical potion that restores their youth and beauty. From there, the rivalry takes a turn that only a musical comedy could pull off.

It's a show that's earned some high praise along the way. Deadline called it a "wildly entertaining, perfect musical comedy," and The Daily Beast described it as "the most fun night out on Broadway." If you're into sharp comedy and a bit of the fantastical, this is exactly the kind of thing that works best on a stage like the Fox.

One more detail to keep in mind: the evening includes a Curtain Call Lounge at the Fox, so there's a bit more to the night than just the show itself. The performance is on Thursday, October 22, at 7:30 PM at The Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis.
