Jazz vocalist Nicholas Brooks brings his Christmas in Vegas show to Blue Strawberry, the music showroom and lounge in the Crossroads at the Gateway.
Nicholas Brooks brings Christmas in Vegas to Blue Strawberry on Thursday, December 17, with the show starting at 7:30 PM and doors opening at 6 PM. It's a holiday-themed set from a singer who spent two decades headlining Las Vegas stages, so the title isn't just for show.
Brooks has a long history with the Strip. He became one of the youngest singers in the city's history to have his name on a marquee when he started headlining the Wayne Newton Theatre at the Stardust Hotel in 2003. Since then, he's taken his act far beyond Nevada, touring Australia, France, Tahiti, Bora Bora, Switzerland, Belgium, New Zealand, and the Bahamas. He's also earned some heavy recognition early on: DownBeat Magazine named him Jazz Vocalist of the Year for the U.S. and Canada, and The Chicago Tribune called him one of the top rising young artists in the U.S. while he was still in college.

The venue is Blue Strawberry, a new music showroom and lounge in the CWE (The Crossroads at the Gateway) run by The Midnight Company. Local and national acts play there at least three nights a week, and they serve dinner five nights a week from a full-service menu with a wine and beverage program. It's an all-ages room, and there's a $15 per-guest food and drink minimum. Tickets for the show are $35, $30, and $25, depending on where you sit.
