Hip-hop tribute show bringing together the artists of Cash Money and No Limit Records, with special guest Boosie.
Cash Money & No Limit are coming to the Enterprise Center on Friday, October 23, at 8 PM. It's a massive bill that brings together two of the biggest independent empires in hip-hop on one stage, and the lineup reads like a history of the Southern rap movement.
On the Cash Money side, you've got Birdman, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, BG, and Mia X. On the No Limit side, Master P, Silkk The Shocker, Fiend, Mac, Mercedes, Choppa Style, and Mr. Serv On. That's twelve names from two labels that spent years competing for the same space, now sharing a single night. Boosie joins in as a special guest, adding one more voice to the mix.
They're billing the show as a tribute to the hip-hop movement that changed music, and that's a fair way to put it. Cash Money and No Limit weren't just labels; they were independent operations that built their own distribution and marketing, and they did it from the South. Seeing them together in one room is a bit of a rarity, especially with this many names on the same bill.

If you've followed either label, you'll recognize the names. Birdman and Master P ran the shops; Juvenile and Silkk were some of the biggest stars to come out of them; Mannie Fresh produced the sound that defined the Cash Money era. It's a long list of people who helped shape the sound of the South over the last few decades.
It's a Friday night show at the Enterprise Center, starting at 8 PM. Tickets are available through the venue and Live Nation.
