All-ages funk night with Bootygroove headlining and a set by local funk outfit Hazard To Ya Booty & The Grooveliner at Old Rock House.
Bootygroove brings Hazard To Ya Booty and The Grooveliner to Old Rock House on Friday, January 15, 2027. It's a double bill of St. Louis funk, with two local bands sharing the stage on the same night.
Hazard To Ya Booty is a St. Louis band that blends rock, soul, hip-hop, jazz, and blues into a funk sound they describe as head-bobbing. They formed in 2000 at Truman State University and have kept playing through several lineup changes over the years, so they've been at this for more than two decades. The Grooveliner is a seven-piece funk outfit fronted by a horns section, with original music that runs from funk and soul to Latin, rock, and disco. All seven members are St. Louis musicians.

Between the two, you've got a full horn section on one side and a multi-genre funk approach on the other, both coming from right here in the city. The night is billed as an all-ages show, so it's one you can bring younger friends or family along to. Doors open at 7 PM and the show starts at 8 PM, with a $2 cash surcharge at the door for minors.
