An evening exploring how Black baseball changed the game and helped change America, with speakers Mike Claiborne and Bob Kendrick.
Mike Claiborne and Bob Kendrick are coming to the Missouri History Museum on Wednesday, October 21, for an evening titled Beyond the Diamond. The two will be in conversation about Black baseball and its role in changing both the game and the country.
That's the core of it: how the Black baseball experience shifted the sport and helped change America. It's not just a look at the game itself, but at the wider impact it had beyond the field. If you've spent any time thinking about the history of the game here in St. Louis, that's a conversation worth sitting in on.

The event is being held at the Missouri History Museum, 5700 Lindell Blvd, in Forest Park. It runs from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, and the doors open at 6:00 PM, so you've got a half-hour to get settled before it starts. If you're coming from across town, that window gives you a little breathing room to park and find your seat without rushing. The whole thing wraps by 8:00 PM, making it an easy mid-week outing that doesn't run too late into the night.
