Annual St. Louis dog festival with adoptable dogs from rescue organisations, local vendors, live music, a costume contest, games and photo opportunities.
Barktoberfest returns to Zoomies Pet Cafe on Sunday, October 18, from 10 AM to 5 PM. It's St. Louis Magazine's annual event, and the whole thing is built around adoptable dogs from several rescue organizations. If you've been thinking about adding a dog to your home, this is a good place to start, with pups from different rescues all in one spot.
The day fills the cafe with local vendors, live music, a costume contest, games, and photo opportunities. There's also 'pup + pints' on the menu. Between the vendors and the music, it's a full afternoon, so you can drop in for a bit or hang out for a few hours. The costume contest is one of the main draws, and the photo ops are there for when you want a shot of your dog in their best outfit.
