Free Wednesday night patio show by St. Louis musician Austin Grimm with his sister Corrie Marks, playing original music and covers.
Austin Grimm plays Brio Italian Grille on Wednesday, October 21, from 6 to 9 PM, and he's not alone—his sister Corrie Marks joins him on the patio. It's a free show, so you can just drop in whenever you're around.
If you haven't come across Grimm before, he's a St. Louis native who's been playing professionally for about a decade. He spent some time in Nashville at Belmont University, where he majored in Music Business and started a band called Roots of a Rebellion (ROAR) with college friends. After graduating in 2012, ROAR hit the road hard, playing more than 120 shows a year across the U.S. They put out a #1 Billboard Reggae Album, Shapes of a Soul, and played festivals like Bonnaroo, Hangout, Live On The Green, and the Master Musicians Festival.
These days ROAR is taking a break, and Grimm is working solo. He mixes his own original songs with classic covers, and he pulls from a wide range of styles—country, folk, rock, pop, blues, jazz, and reggae. It's a broad reach, but that's the point: he's playing across genres rather than sticking to one.
