The UFL holds its 15-round 2027 draft in St. Louis, with the first two rounds broadcast live on NFL Network and fans watching from team pods around a central stage.
The 2027 UFL Draft is coming to Ballpark Village on Wednesday, November 18, and it's open to the public. The eight UFL head coaches will be the ones calling the picks, with the Columbus Aviators holding the first overall selection. ESPN commentator Joe Tessitore is hosting, and Michelle Smallmon will be reporting from the draft floor. It's a 15-round draft, and the first two rounds will air live on NFL Network, with the coaches explaining their rationale in real time. If you're there in person, you'll watch from team pods arranged around a central main stage.
League president and CEO Russ Brandon said the UFL brought the draft to St. Louis to recognize the city and its passionate Battlehawks faithful, and to bring fans closer to the game. It's the first time the league has given the public an inside look at the process. The draft continues a spring football tradition of launching professional careers, following the 2020 XFL Draft, the 2023 XFL and USFL drafts, a 2024 College Draft, and a January 2026 dispersal draft. Teams use it to fill their 64-man camp rosters.
