The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra performs the most famous James Bond themes, conducted by David Arnold with Jacinta Whyte as soloist.
The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra are playing The Best of Bond at the Mayflower Theatre on Sunday 21 March 2027. It's part of their BSO Pops series, and the whole night is dedicated to the themes from the James Bond films.
They've put together a long set that covers the series from both ends. You'll hear the early ones like Dr. No, From Russia With Love, and Goldfinger, alongside Thunderball, Diamonds Are Forever, and For Your Eyes Only. Then it moves into the later years with The Living Daylights, Licence To Kill, The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day, Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, and Skyfall. Moonraker, You Only Live Twice, Live And Let Die, Nobody Does It Better, and GoldenEye are in there too. It's a broad run through the Bond catalogue, so you'll get the early classics and the more recent stuff in one go.
Conducting is David Arnold, a British composer, producer, and conductor who's worked on the Bond films himself. On vocals is Jacinta Whyte, a West End singer and actress. Between the two of them, the evening has both the orchestral side and the singing parts of the themes.
