Southern Brave take on MI London at the Utilita Bowl on Monday 27 July, one of four matches the ground is hosting for this year's tournament. It's a double-header, so you can catch both the women's and men's games in one go: the women start at 3pm, and the men follow at 6:30pm.
If you're not familiar with the format, The Hundred is a 100-ball cricket competition that launched in the UK in 2021. It's a shorter, faster version of the game than what you'll see in the county championship, so it's a good one to bring along if you're not a seasoned cricket fan. Southern Brave have a strong pedigree here, too — they were the men's champions in 2021 and the women's in 2023.
The squad they're putting out is a mix of big names and overseas talent. You'll see pace bowlers Jofra Archer and Lauren Bell leading the attack, with batters Maia Bouchier and Jamie Smith up the order. There's a fair bit of international experience in there, too: Laura Wolvaardt, the first overseas player to score 1,000 runs in The Hundred, is joined by Jemimah Rodrigues, SA20 champion Tristan Stubbs, and all-rounder Marcus Stoinis. On the other side, homegrown Hampshire talent Liam Dawson will be lining up for the opposition.

It's a good day for the venue, as well — the Utilita Bowl is celebrating 25 years since it opened. It's well-known for its food and views across the ground, and if you fancy making a proper day of it, the Hilton Southampton - Utilita Bowl is a pitch-facing hotel right on site. Tickets start at £28, and with the women's game at 3pm and the men's at 6:30pm, you've got a full afternoon and evening of cricket in one ticket.
