Southampton Culture Club for Kids is back at SeaCity Museum this August, with the first week running from Monday 3 to Wednesday 5 August. It's a three-day stretch of creative, hands-on activities for children aged 6½ to 12, and this particular week is themed All Aboard! — a nod to the city's maritime roots that should sit well with the museum's location on Havelock Road. The sessions are led by the museum's own team of educators, who guide the kids to explore the past, get stuck into the museum and gallery, and make things along the way. By the end of the three days, they'll have pieces of artwork to take home.
It's not just a one-off, either. The club is part of the city's wider Summer School Holiday Activities 2026 programme, which runs from 23 July to 31 August across SeaCity, the Art Gallery and Tudor House. If you're looking for something to keep the kids occupied over the summer break, this is one of the bigger blocks in the calendar. The sessions are based at SeaCity, though they do visit the Art Gallery on occasion, so the kids get to see a bit more of the city's cultural side than just one building.

Practicals: it runs 9am to 4pm each day, with drop-off from 8.45am. You can book the full three days for £90, or just a single day for £35. The museum is also taking part in the government's Great British Summer Savings initiative, with reduced admission from 25 June to 1 September 2026, so it's a good time to be heading into town.
