Relaxed and friendly life drawing session where visitors work at their own pace with individual feedback and tuition from Peter Camboropoulos.
Peter Camboropoulos is running a life drawing session at Southampton City Art Gallery on Saturday 5 December, from 11am to 4pm. It's one of those relaxed, friendly workshops where you work at your own pace rather than following a strict lesson plan, and there's a short break for lunch in the middle.
Camboropoulos is there throughout the day, so if you hit a wall or just want a second pair of eyes on what you're doing, you can get individual feedback and tuition on the spot. It's a good way to spend a Saturday morning and afternoon without feeling rushed, and because you're working at your own speed, you can take as long as you need on a single pose or move through several in the same session.
It's open to all levels of experience, provided you're not an absolute beginner to drawing. If you've got your own materials you prefer, you're welcome to bring them along, but the gallery supplies the basics, so you don't need to turn up with a full kit if you'd rather not. The session is run by Southampton Cultural Services, and the gallery is the city's main venue for art.
