Jamie T - Ghosts (100 Days of Morning)

Jamie T plays Engine Rooms on Wednesday 21 October, one of a run of intimate solo acoustic shows. He's touring his sixth studio album, Ghosts (100 Days of Morning), which comes out 9 October via Polydor. It's an 11-track collection of 'former ghosts' born out of a difficult period in his life, about letting go and reclaiming his identity, and he produced it in part himself alongside James Dring and Hugo White.

Among the new songs are the single '3310', a Damon Albarn collaboration called 'Cocktail', a cover of The Jam's 'Ghosts', and the closer 'Tallahassee'. It's a stripped-back way to hear the record, just him and his guitar, rather than the full-band setup he's known for.

Jamie T — real name Jamie Treacys of Wimbledon — has been one of the most prolific artists of his generation. He's put out Platinum and Gold albums like Panic Prevention, Kings & Queens and Carry on the Grudge, with hits like 'Zombie', 'Sticks n Stones' and 'Sheila', and more than 800 million global streams. He's collaborated with Damon Albarn, Lily Allen and The Maccabees, headlined Brixton Academy eight times and played Glastonbury four times. With Panic Prevention turning 20, he describes this album as wiser, more perceptive and more incisive than his previous work.

Doors open at 6pm with the stage starting at 7pm, though times are subject to change. It's a solo acoustic set, so you'll hear the new songs and the older ones in a different light than usual.
