A pop music celebration with tribute acts, DJ, roaming entertainers and street food at Engine Rooms, aimed at young pop fans aged five and over.
GirlyPop Live comes to Engine Rooms on Sunday 27 September, a pop music afternoon aimed at young fans aged five and over. It's billed as the UK's award-winning 'most fabulous pop party', framed as a mother-and-daughter day out, though boys aged five and over who love pop music are very welcome too.
The music comes from tribute performances inspired by today's biggest pop stars, with a pop DJ, singalong anthems and high-energy choreography. The organisers turn the venue into a glitter-filled GirlyPop universe, so the live sets sit alongside off-stage entertainment: confetti showers, bubbles, roaming entertainers and glitter glam stations. There's a GirlyPop shop on site selling merchandise, and street food and sweet treats are available to buy, though no externally purchased food or drinks are allowed.

It's built for the younger crowd, so the organisers recommend ear defenders for children sensitive to noise. The afternoon runs from 12:00 to 16:30, with last entry at 15:00. You'll find Engine Rooms at West Quay Road Industrial Estate, West Quay Road, Southampton, SO15 1GZ.
