Relaxed hands-on workshop led by Lou Huson to make festive wreaths from the venue's dried flowers and seasonal greenery.
Lou Huson is running a wreath making workshop at Flying Horse Lawn on Saturday 21 November, and it's one of those slow, hands-on mornings that feels right for this time of year. The session is held at The Apple Shack kitchen, on Lodge Lane in Sheffield S6 5SP, and it's aimed at adults.
The whole thing is about making your own festive wreath from scratch. The materials are the best part: you'll be working with dried flowers grown on the venue's own patch, mixed in with seasonal greenery. It's a two-and-a-half-hour session held indoors, so you're tucked away from the November chill while you work. By the time you're finished, you'll have your own handmade wreath to take home and hang up for the season.
Huson describes it as a fun, relaxed, hands-on activity, and that's the energy to expect. It's not a high-pressure class; it's more about spending a few hours working with your hands and chatting with other people. Tea, coffee and cake are included, so there's plenty to keep you going while you're assembling your wreath. Parking is free on site, which is a handy bonus when you're heading out to Lodge Lane.

It starts at 10:00 on Saturday 21 November, with the group meeting at the venue car park at 10:30. Tickets are £39.50, and that covers the materials, the tea, coffee and cake, and the two and a half hours of making. You'll leave with your own wreath in hand.
