Relaxed women's book club meeting led by Claire Moore to discuss 'Wintering' by Katherine May, with a maximum of six places.
The Wobble Book Club is meeting at Merchants House in Neepsend on Sunday 1 November, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. It's the October session, just pushed back into November because the month got a bit too full. The book on the table is Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times by Katherine May, and the whole thing is run by Claire Moore.
If you've not come across it before, the club is a small, relaxed space for women who want to feel better, think differently and actually do something with what they read. Each month a non-fiction or personal-development book is chosen to be read in your own time, and then the group meets in an independent coffee shop — with coffee and cake encouraged — to chat about what resonated, what didn't and what to take forward into real life. The aim isn't to read more books, but to make small changes that actually stick.
That's the core of it: reading a book on your own and then getting together to talk through how it lands. The focus is on the practical side of things, the bits that might actually change how you do things on a Tuesday morning, rather than just chatting about the text itself. It's a low-pressure way to get a bit of a community around the reading, and the coffee shop setting keeps it casual.

This particular session is free, but places are strictly limited to a maximum of six women, so it's worth booking early if you're interested. It runs from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday 1 November at Merchants House, 43 Mowbray Street, Neepsend, S3 8EN. And if you're planning to stick with it, Claire has another session lined up for the end of November too.
