Beginner upholstery workshop to make a footstool at Dusk Tattoo Collective in Sheffield.
Upholstery for Beginners is running at Dusk Tattoo Collective on Sunday 13 December, a one-day workshop where you make a footstool from scratch. It's aimed at beginners, so you don't need to have ever touched a staple gun or a roll of fabric before you walk through the door.
The whole point is to leave with something you've actually made. Over the course of the day, you'll work through the process of upholstering a footstool, and by the time you're done, you'll have a finished piece of furniture to take home. It's a practical, hands-on session rather than a lecture, so you'll spend most of your time working on the stool itself.

It's held at Dusk Tattoo Collective in Sheffield, which is a tattoo studio, so this is a bit of a departure from their usual day-to-day. The workshop starts at 10:00 on Sunday morning, and you'll be there for the day, so it's a good one to clear your calendar for. The cost is £115, which covers the session and the materials you'll need to get the stool finished.
