Festive market with Ukrainian food, handmade gifts and decorations, a Ukrainian Christmas choir, creative workshops and a family Christmas Secret Trail.
The Ukrainian Christmas Market returns to the Millennium Gallery on Sunday 29 November, running from 11:00 to 16:00. It's now in its third year, a festive celebration that brings Ukrainian culture and traditions into the heart of Sheffield and opens them up to the local community. If you've never been, it's a good place to see how Ukrainians celebrate Christmas, with traditional food, handmade gifts and Christmas decorations to browse.
There's plenty to do beyond the stalls. Live music runs throughout the day, with a Ukrainian choir singing carols, and free drop-in creative workshops for anyone who wants to get involved. For families, there's a Ukrainian Christmas Secret Trail to follow around the gallery, and a Christmas raffle to enter. The whole thing is run by Kalyna Art Studio, who hand out their festive greetings card to the first 100 visitors on the day.

Admission is by donation, which goes towards the costs of running the market. A suggested donation is £3 per adult, and children under 14 go free. Pre-booking is recommended, though you're still welcome to drop in without one — you might just have to wait if it gets busy. That's Sunday 29 November at the Millennium Gallery, 48 Arundel Gate, Sheffield S1 2PP, from 11:00 to 16:00.
