Blues rock band These Wicked Rivers play a special matinee at The Greystones with special guest Kit Trigg, from their new album 'Fire and Folklore'.
These Wicked Rivers play The Greystones on Sunday 10 January 2027, with special guest Kit Trigg. It's a matinee, starting at 15:00, and it's a rescheduled date — the show was originally set for 23 August 2026.
They're a Derby band, fronted by John Hartwell on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, with Arran Day on lead guitar and backing vocals, Jon Hallam on bass and Dan Southall on drums. They build their sound on self-composed material, marrying old-school musicianship with a youthful intensity to push old-style blues rock into the twenty-first century. Their influences run from John Mayer and Joe Bonamassa to Rival Sons, Marcus Bonfanti, Black Stone Cherry and Royal Blood.
On the day, they're expected to play songs from their new album, Fire and Folklore, alongside classic Rivers tracks. It's not their first time at The Greystones, either — a previous acoustic show of theirs there sold out in a day or so.
