Joint headline tour of The Skids and Theatre of Hate at The Corporation in Sheffield.
The Skids are playing The Corporation on Thursday 19 November, as part of a joint headline tour with Theatre Of Hate. It's a double bill that puts two post-punk names on the same stage, and the night starts at 19:00.
If you're not familiar with the name, The Skids are a punk band that formed in Dunfermline in 1977. They're best known for 'Into The Valley', which reached the top ten, and their career has been a long run of splits and reforms since those early days. They've been around long enough to have a proper history behind them, and this is one of the dates on the tour they're currently running.
Sharing the bill is Theatre Of Hate, so you'll get two sets in one night rather than just one band. It's a joint headline, which means both get their time in the spotlight. Between the two of them, there's a fair bit of post-punk territory to cover, and the pairing makes sense if you're into that era of music.
