The Proclaimers return with their 13th studio album, bringing their live shows of energy and passion to the Oval Hall.
The Proclaimers play Sheffield City Hall Oval Hall on Wednesday 21 October, part of a run of major UK dates. It's their first time back on stage since their Dentures Out world tour, which ran for 14 months and wrapped up in August 2023.
They're returning with a 13th studio album, so the set will draw on the new material alongside the songs they're best known for. The most famous of those is 'I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)', and the platinum 1988 album Sunshine on Leith is the one that put them on the map. Their sound blends rock, folk, soul and country, held together by the close harmonies they've always used.
Behind the name are Craig and Charlie Reid, identical twin brothers from Leith who formed the band in 1983. Their career now spans more than three decades, and along the way it's inspired a hit musical and a film. They describe their live shows as being built on energy, passion and big-hearted, uncynical songs.
