Live show by The Entitled Sons, the rock project of four teenage brothers and their father, open to University of Sheffield and Hallam students.
The Entitled Sons play Foundry on Thursday 5 November, starting at 7:00pm. It's a family project in the most literal sense: four teenage brothers — Charlie on lead vocals, Rafferty on guitar, Billy on keyboards and synths, and Laurie on drums — with their father, Graham, on bass. They formed in Somerset in 2022, and since then they've moved from the West Country to the national stage.
Their rise has been quick. They won the Pilton Stage Competition and played Glastonbury, then went on to sell out headline shows across the UK, including London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire. Their debut album, No Clue, balanced guitar-driven singles with more mature songwriting, and their latest single, 'Epitaph (Not There)', was produced by Fred Abbott of Noah and the Whale. That one was written about the loss of a close friend, so it's a heavier piece of ground than some of their earlier, catchier stuff.

They've picked up support from BBC Introducing, Radio X, Virgin Radio, Clash Magazine, and the national press, which puts them in a good spot for a Sheffield room. If you're not familiar with them, they're a rock band with a family at the core, and this is one of their UK dates. The show is open to University of Sheffield and Hallam students, so it's a student-focused night. The music starts at 7:00pm at Foundry.
