Drop-in craft gathering at The Gamers Guide Cafe where all ages can knit, crochet, paint, sketch, embroider or journal with shared supplies.
The Crafty Collective is back at The Gamers Guide Café on Monday 19 October, starting at 5pm. It's a drop-in gathering open to all ages and neurotypes, so you can turn up whenever suits you and stay as long as you like. The whole point is to bring along a creative project of your choice and work on it in the company of other people doing the same.
What you bring is entirely up to you. It could be knitting, crochet, painting, sketching, embroidery or journaling — whatever you've got on the go at home. If you're missing a few bits, there are shared supplies on hand to help you keep going, including knitting needles, crochet hooks and stitch markers. It's a low-pressure way to spend a Monday evening, whether you're halfway through something big or just starting something small.
The gathering has moved to Monday evenings by popular demand, and it kicks off at 5pm, with the café staying open until 9pm. That gives you a good window to settle in, make some progress on your project, and maybe chat with the people around you. It's a drop-in, so you don't have to be there from the start if you're coming straight from work or school.

Entry is £5, which you pay in person when you arrive. There are no tickets to collect through Meetup or any other booking portal, so you just turn up and pay on the door. The best part is that the £5 is fully redeemable on food and drinks in the café, so your entry effectively pays for your tea, coffee or a snack while you work. You'll find The Gamers Guide Café at 8 E Parade in Sheffield City Centre, S1 2ET.
