Standing indie and Britpop tribute night with a live band, DJs and performers paying homage to Arctic Monkeys, Sam Fender, The Killers, The 1975 and Kasabian.
The BIG Indie Tribute Festival comes to Corporation on Saturday 31 October, with the night running from 6 pm to 10 pm. It's a four-hour stretch of indie rock and Britpop, built around a live band, DJs and performers rather than the original artists themselves. The festival takes this format to venues across the UK and Europe, and they're calling it 'the UK's biggest indie tribute night'.
The set focuses on the icons of indie rock and Britpop, with the music that defined the 2000s and beyond at its centre. The live band and DJs will be working through tribute performances to Arctic Monkeys, Sam Fender, The Killers, The 1975 and Kasabian, among others. It's a broad run of names from that era, so you'll hear a good mix of the different sounds that sat under the indie umbrella over the last couple of decades.
