Friday night rock and metal night 'Friday's' at Corporation celebrates the 20th anniversary of Tenacious D's 'Pick of Destiny'.
Tenacious D are taking over Corporation on Friday 23 October, with the night billed as a tribute to the 20th anniversary of their album and film Pick of Destiny. It's a double-header of a night: the first part plays the biggest rock and metal hits, and from 1am the DJ runs through Pick of Destiny from beginning to end with no deviations. If you've got the album on your phone, you'll know the drill — it's the whole thing, start to finish, in one go.
It all happens at Corporation as part of their Friday night 'Fridays', which runs across three rooms. Drop is Sheffield's longest-running rock and metal night, going since 1993, and it's the one that'll be hosting this. There's also a pop room and an indie room, though the indie one only opens on the first Friday of the month, so it won't be part of the mix this time around. If you're not into the metal side of things, you can still drift between the rooms and find your own pace.

Advance tickets are £3 to £7, and they're cheaper than buying on the door. They also come with a free Corp Bomb on entry and priority queue access, which is a handy bit of insurance if you're arriving later in the night. The whole thing is 18+, so keep your ID on you, and last entry is at 2:30am. The night runs from 11pm to 3am, so if you're in for the full Pick of Destiny run, you'll want to be there well before 1am.
