Day of tribute acts celebrating Sheffield's music across two stages, with a sound and light show and food stalls, at the Don Valley Bowl.
Supersonic Festival returns to the Don Valley Bowl on Sunday 30 May 2027, a Bank Holiday weekend. It's a full day of music running from 12pm to 11pm, with the bill described as 'the sound of a generation, the spirit of Sheffield' — a day of wall-to-wall anthems and tribute acts celebrating the city's music, spread across two stages and rounded off with a sound and light show. There are plenty of food stalls on site, so you can make a whole day of it.
Capsule runs the festival, with artistic director Lisa Meyer at the helm. They keep the capacity intimate, which they say protects what makes it special: the artists, the unexpected moments, and the community. The 2026 edition sold out in hours, and the team is keeping 2027 focused so they can celebrate the festival's 25th anniversary properly in 2028. It's family-friendly, with free entry for children under six.
Tickets come in a few different tiers. Super Early Bird is £34.99, Early Bird £42.99, and Final Release £49.99. There's also an Adult Day Ticket for £24.99, which is 50% off. Child Day Tickets are £9.99, and children under six get in free. VIP tickets add a VIP Tent, private bar, luxury toilets and a private seating area: Adult VIP is £49.99 and Child VIP is £19.99. Carer and PA tickets are complimentary standard tickets, with the holder paying only the VIP upgrade if they want it.
