New Year's Day party presented by Sundissential with Wayne Smart at Network Sheffield.
Encoded are back at Network Sheffield on Friday 1 January, New Year's Day, for a party presented by Sundissential. The night kicks off at 14:00, so it's a daytime one rather than a late-night session — a bit of a change if you're used to New Year's celebrations stretching into the small hours.
At the moment, the only name on the bill is Wayne Smart, and the full line-up hasn't been announced yet. Smart is an electronic DJ and producer from Canvey Island in Essex, born on 12 June 1979. He's the label manager of Encoded NRG and co-label manager of Frantic Digital, so he's deeply tied to the labels that give the night its name. The notes for the event say 'The Red & Yellow Army are back', which is the shorthand for the crowd that follows this particular sound.
