Steve Edwards reimagines his club classics in an electrifying live show, backed by his world-class band, with special guests.
Steve Edwards brings his House & Home LIVE! show to Sidney & Matilda on Friday 16 October, a night that puts his club history on a proper stage. He's a Sheffield-born singer, songwriter and performer who's spent over three decades at the front of global electronic music, and this is him taking those dancefloor records and reworking them for a live band.
If the names ring a bell, it's because his voice was on some of the biggest house tracks of the last twenty years. He's a Grammy nominee and World Music Award winner with four US Billboard Dance No. 1 hits, and he's the voice behind 'World, Hold On', 'The Sound of Violence', 'Watch the Sunrise', 'This Feeling' and 'Carry Me Home'. The list of people he's worked with reads like a who's who of the scene: Bob Sinclar, Axwell, Cassius, David Guetta, Fisher, Basement Jaxx, Kings of Tomorrow, X-Press 2, Pete Tong, Yves Larock, Charles Webster, Roger Sanchez, Chicane and Sly & Robbie. Backed by a world-class band, he's reimagining those club classics and infusing them with dub, funk, soul and jazz. Pete Tong has called him 'essential', Bob Sinclar called him 'the best' and Axwell described the show as 'beautiful'.
He won't be on his own, either. The bill brings together a wide range of guests: Janine Dyer, The Sheffield Community Gospel Choir, the kids from TRACKS UK, Nigerian singer Kayfei and scratch DJ Alex FB. It's a big, mixed line-up for one night, and the show sits as a precursor to his new album, House & Home, which is set for release in 2027.
