An interactive, theatrical adventure bringing the popular YouTube sensation Steve and Maggie Magpie to the stage with funny stories, magical mishaps and music.
Steve and Maggie are coming to Sheffield City Hall on Sunday 6 December, with two shows that day at 11:00 and 15:00. If you've got kids who spend half their time watching them on YouTube, this is the one to get them to. The whole thing is called The Steve & Maggie Party, and it takes the characters off the screen and onto the stage as an interactive, theatrical adventure.
On the YouTube channel, Steve is the high-spirited one and Maggie the Magpie is the mischievous one, and that's exactly how they play it live. They invite the audience into their world of funny stories, magical mishaps and music, and the show is built around audience participation, so the kids aren't just sitting and watching — they're part of it. It's the kind of thing they'll be talking about for the rest of the year.
Behind the characters are billions of views from their YouTube channel, and the live show turns that following into a piece of family theatre. The music is a big part of it, and the interactive bits mean it's more of a shared experience than a traditional play. It's designed for families, so you'll be in the company of plenty of other parents and kids.

There are a few practical things to keep in mind. The shows are in the Oval Hall at Sheffield City Hall, Barkers Pool, S1 2JA. Seats are £17 to £25 plus a booking fee, and there's a Meet & Greet upgrade for £30 per child, with parents or guardians accompanying them for free. Under-14s have to be accompanied by an adult, and children under 2 are free if they sit on a parent's lap — any child aged 2 or over, or anyone who needs their own seat, will need a paid ticket. With the 11:00 and 15:00 slots, you can pick the time that fits your day best.
