Family-friendly sporty treasure hunt with routes from 3k to 33k across moorland and woodland trails near Forge Dam.
Spunch! Sheffield Hilly S10/S11 is on Sunday 1 November, based at The Forge Dam Cafe in the west of the city. It's a sporty treasure hunt: you get a colourful map and head out to collect over 60 SpunchPoints using satellite punching on the MapRun app, which works on a smartphone, Garmin or Apple Watch. You can run or walk distances from 3k to 33k, so you pick your own challenge and set your own pace.
This one is part of an autumn all-in-daylight series that runs along the western edge of Sheffield and up into the Peak District. The routes take you across moorland paths towards Ox Stones and through woodland trails in Lady Canning's and the Limb Valley. It's designed for all ages and abilities, and you don't need any previous experience to take part.
It's a family affair, too. Accompanied juniors aged 0-17 go free with a paying parent or guardian over 21, and there are discounts for older entrants: half price for those aged 16-21 and 25% off for those aged 22-25. Dogs are welcome on a lead, and the Forge Dam Cafe is child- and dog-friendly, so you can bring the whole lot along.
