Speed dating night for singles aged 30-45 at Manahatta, with four-minute mini-dates and advance booking required.
Manahatta is hosting a speed dating night for singles aged 30-45 on Wednesday 18 November, run by Fastlove, who describe themselves as the North's biggest and busiest singles events organiser. It's billed as Sheffield's newest speed dating night, and it's held in the venue's first-floor bar, a New York-inspired cocktail room in the city centre.
The format is as straightforward as it gets: a series of four-minute mini-dates with around 15 to 20 other singles in the room. It's pitched as an alternative to swiping on dating apps, and if you hit it off with someone, you can log your match on the website the next day. The age bracket is 30-45, so you'll be in a room with people in your own general stage of life rather than a wide-open mix.
Logistically, it's a mid-week one. Doors open at 7.00 pm, the speed dating itself kicks off at 7.30 pm and wraps up around 9.30 pm, and the venue stays open until 11.00 pm if you fancy a drink after. They do ask that you arrive before 7.25 pm so you're ready to go when it starts.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Sheffield and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

Tickets are £22, or £11 if you have a DatePass, which is half price. Spaces are limited, and booking in advance is essential — there are no tickets available on the door, so you'll need to get yours sorted before you head down. Manahatta is in the Fountain Precinct on Balm Green, right in the city centre, so it's easy enough to get to on a Wednesday night.
