Manchester UK garage and bassline artist Silva Bumpa plays Electric Studios in Sheffield, a strictly 18+ night.
Silva Bumpa brings his UK tour to Electric Studios on Saturday 7 November, a homecoming of sorts for the Manchester-based artist who grew up here in Sheffield. He's become a key figure in the revival of UK garage, bassline and speed garage, mixing gritty UK bass with the singalong bounce of club classics. It's a sound that sits right in the middle of the styles he's spent years pulling together.
His path to this point started with piano lessons and an early interest in Aphex Twin, Arca and Mura Masa. By 16, he was deep in the rave scene, drawn to speed garage and jacking house. That early immersion shows in the records he's put out since: the What About The DJ? EP on Locked On Records, and the viral hit 'I Don't Want U' with Diffrnt on Columbia's Room Two. 2024 was a big year for him, with a sold-out UK headline tour and sets at Glastonbury, Boomtown and Outlook.
Coming back to Sheffield, the city where bassline got its start, feels fitting. He's built his sound on that same ground, and this date is part of the same tour that's been taking him across the country. It's a headline show, so the night is built around him.

The set runs from 22:00 to 05:00, so it's a late one that goes well into the early hours. One thing to keep in mind: the Sheffield date is strictly 18+, and you'll need a physical photo ID to get in. If you're planning on it, make sure you've got yours on you.
