House and disco party Fever 105 makes its Sheffield debut at Electric Studios with a line-up of Dan Shake, Horse Meat Disco, MiNNA and Theon Bower.
Fever 105 brings its house and disco party to Electric Studios on Friday 6 November, its Sheffield debut. The night started in Manchester nearly 15 years ago and has since become a regular in London's nightlife, so this is the first time it's come to the city.
The line-up mixes established names with emerging talent. Dan Shake is one of the main draws; he gained international recognition as the first non-Detroit artist to release on Moodymann's Mahogani Music label. Horse Meat Disco is a collective that's been at the heart of queer club culture for more than two decades, born from a Sunday residency at The Eagle in Vauxhall. MiNNA plays 1970s disco and old-school house, a sound that's taken her to venues like fabric and KOKO and festivals including Glastonbury. Theon Bower, head of Fever 105 and Swung Out Records, also plays. There's a second room too, taken over by Sheffield's own La Rumba.
