Sheffield Pottery Tile Painting

Fired Arts on Ecclesall Road is hosting a pottery tile painting evening on Saturday 24 October, as part of GRLSocial™'s Late Night Tiles series. It's a simple enough premise: you spend the evening painting your own tile and hanging out with the group, with drinks and snacks served alongside the making. The studio provides all the painting supplies, so you just need to turn up.

They pitch it as a relaxed, social creative session for everyone, from the naturally artistic to those who think they can barely draw a stick figure. You pick your colours, create your own design, and take it home when you're finished. It's less about a finished masterpiece and more about the process of making something with your hands while chatting with the people around you.

There are two sessions to choose from, both on the same Saturday: one at 6:00pm and another at 7:45pm, each running for an hour and a half. The later one takes you well into the evening, which fits the Late Night Tiles name. The session is for ages 18 and over, so it's an adults-only night out rather than a family affair. If you're going with friends, you can book the same slot and work on your tiles together.
