Hands-on screen printing workshop at the social enterprise Printed by Us to print your own organic cotton t-shirts or tote bags.
Printed by Us are running a screen printing workshop on Saturday 5 December, from 11 am to 2 pm, with doors opening at 10:45 am. It's held at their space, Craft Workshop 8, Orchard Square, in Sheffield city centre (S1 2FB). The session is built around printing your own t-shirts or tote bags, and the price includes two organic cotton items to get you started. If you want to keep going, extra items are £5 each.
There's a bit more to the place than just the workshops. Printed by Us is a Sheffield social enterprise run as part of The Archer Project, which creates supported employment for people who've experienced homelessness or other challenges. They combine screen printing and creativity with a social purpose, making high-quality, ethically produced goods and treating the craft as a tool for positive change that empowers vulnerable adults through their supported employment programme. Every session you attend helps fund more training, more opportunities, and more of that change.
Beyond the social side, they pitch the workshops as a mindful, hands-on practice. The idea is to slow down, reduce stress, and boost your wellbeing by working with your hands rather than a screen. It's a morning spent making something tangible, and you leave with a couple of things you've printed yourself. If you've never tried screen printing before, this is a straightforward way to get into it.
