Holotropic breathwork session led by Hannah H2O to mark Samhain, with guided breathing, optional bodywork, journaling and tea.
Hannah H2O is hosting a Samhain Holotropic Breathwork session at H2O Breath and Body Work in Neepsend on Sunday 1 November, from 7:30 PM to 9 PM. The timing is the point here: it's held on the cusp of the winter season, when Samhain marks a thinning of the veil between life and death, and the whole session is framed as a conscious, connected breathwork journey honouring the cycles of life, death and rebirth.
It starts with grounding and somatic exercises to settle you in, and then moves into about 65 minutes of guided breathing. There's optional intuitive touch and bodywork throughout, and once the breathing finishes, there's time to journal and share over a grounding snack and tea. It's a full arc—arriving, going deep, and then coming back down properly.
Breathwork like this is described as potent. On the emotional and psychological side, it's aimed at releasing repressed emotion, trauma and stress; on the spiritual, it can open up insight and access to visions and guides, alongside the somatic release of stored physical tension. It's a practice that works with the body as much as the mind.

There are some practical things to keep in mind before you book. The breathing can affect blood pressure and pH, so it's not suitable if you're pregnant, have glaucoma, uncontrolled blood pressure, or a history of seizure or psychosis. If any of that applies, this one isn't for you. If not, it's a ninety-minute session at H2O Breath and Body Work, Unit 205 Burton Road, Neepsend, S3 8BZ, with tickets ranging from £24.54 to £33.
