Hands-on workshop at Silver Psaltpot to make your own resin jewellery pieces, such as earrings or pendants, with paper or small objects trapped inside.
Silver Psaltpot is running a resin jewellery workshop on Tuesday 24 November and Tuesday 1 December, both mornings from 10:30 to 13:00. It's a hands-on session where you make your own resin jewellery pieces, like earrings or pendants, and you can trap bits of paper or small objects inside the resin as you work. If you've got a few things you've wanted to preserve, this is a good way to do it.
Silver Psaltpot is based at 3 Brincliffe Crescent, Sheffield S11 9AW. They run jewellery classes throughout the year in six blocks — morning, afternoon, and evening sessions — alongside one-off specialist workshops like this one, which they teach using traditional silver jewellery making methods. Both the regular classes and the workshops can be bought as gifts for friends or family, with gift vouchers available if you'd rather give the experience than the finished piece.
The resin workshop itself is a standalone session, so you don't need to be enrolled in one of their longer courses to take part. You'll spend the morning crafting your own unique pieces, and you can bring along your own paper or small objects to cast into the resin. It's a couple of hours of making, and you'll leave with something you've put together yourself.
