Introduction to the art of perfumery led by artist Michael Borkowsky, where participants design and make their own 30ml perfume.
Fronteer Gallery is hosting a perfume making workshop on Sunday 13 December, led by artist Michael Borkowsky. It runs from 11 am to 1 pm, so it's a two-hour session on a Sunday morning in the city centre.
Borkowsky kicks things off by talking through his own artistic approach to perfumery and giving a working demonstration of how to make an Eau De Toilette. From there, he guides you through the basics of perfume design: fragrance types, fragrance notes, and how to blend oils. Once you've got the hang of it, you compose your own 30ml perfume, choosing from an extensive selection of essential and fragrance oils, and decorate the bottle to take home. It's presented as an introduction to the art of perfumery and a way to create something truly unique.

The session is for ages 18 and over, and it's open to both men and women. A few practical things to keep in mind: the gallery is at Unit 4 Orchard Square, S1 2FB, and it doesn't have disabled access. Tickets are £35, and the whole thing fits into a single Sunday morning, 11 am to 1 pm.
