Paintvine artist-led paint-and-sip session where all painting kit and photos of the finished artwork are included.
Paintvine are running a Northern Lights paint-and-sip session at Hideaway on Saturday 24 October, from 7 pm to 9 pm. It's a two-hour evening in the city centre, with the Northern Lights as the subject on the canvas.
If you've never done one of these, the format is pretty straightforward. A professional artist leads the group step by step, so you don't need any prior painting experience to get through it. The room is set up for complete beginners as much as for experienced painters, and the whole thing is built around a relaxed, social atmosphere rather than a formal class. You'll be working your way through the painting alongside everyone else in the room, following the artist's lead until you've got your own version of the Northern Lights finished.
One of the best bits is that the ticket covers all your kit. You'll get acrylic paints, brushes, an apron to keep your clothes clean, and a stretched canvas to work on. They also take photos throughout the session, so you'll have a record of how the painting came together, and you take the finished artwork home with you at the end. Drinks aren't included, but you can buy them from the venue bar as you go.
