Four 2-hour beginner oil painting sessions at Kalyna Art Studio, with all materials provided and a finished painting to take home.
Kalyna Art Studio is running an oil painting mini course starting Tuesday 17 November, with four two-hour sessions held at their studio in Sheffield city centre. It's a proper introduction to the medium, and the whole thing is led by the studio's owner, a Master of Arts with more than ten years of experience and over 300 art classes under their belt.
They've aimed this one at beginners and people returning to painting, so if you've never touched a brush or it's been years since you did, you'll fit right in. The course is built around a single project: you'll work on one painting across the four sessions, and the goal is to have a finished piece to take home by the end. It's a steady way into oil painting rather than a one-off taster, and since it's taught by someone who's run hundreds of classes, you're in safe hands.
All the materials are provided, so you don't need to turn up with your own paints, brushes or canvas — everything you need is waiting for you at the studio. The sessions run for two hours each, and the full course costs £130.72, which covers all four dates and all your supplies. Tickets are sold through Eventbrite.
